Topic: The Barriers to Extraordinary Success
Text: 2 Kings 2: 1-11
YOUNG PEOPLE! THIS IS THE TIME TO TAKE UP RESPONSIBILITIES.
The pathway that has no obstacles will lead to a place of no significance. If where you are going to is a place of success, one of the signs is the barriers that will arise on your path.
To succeed in life, you must face barriers, there is no accidental success. Not everyone that wants to be successful is ready to pay the price of success. Success has a price.
The major barriers to successful living:
- Distractions: A thing that prevents someone from concentrating on something else. Distraction is anything that prevents you from reaching your goal of success. You cannot be successful if you do not overcome distractions.
Causes of distraction/things that can stop you from reaching your goals
- Wrong association. Your life will go in the direction of the association you keep. You cannot associate with failures and hope to be successful. The wrong association will drag you in the wrong direction.
- Pleasure: there is time for everything. There is a time to play and a time to pay. Don’t pay when you should play and play when you should pay.
This is the time to take up responsibilities young people. Jesus said to work in the daytime, night will surely come. Don’t spend the early youthful productive time of your life playing.
