SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH THROUGH PRAYER (Part 2)- SECOND SERVICE

MINISTER: PST SUNDAY ADEBAMERO

Text: 2 Peter 1:3 (ESV)

2 Peter 1:3 (ESV)  His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.

OPENING TRUTH

The Holy Spirit within you is sufficient to bring God’s will for your life to pass. Stop looking outside — the power, breakthroughs and supply are deposited within your spirit. Prayer is the key that releases them.

WHAT TRUE PRAYER DOES

1. Changes Situations. Some battles cannot be won by counselling or singing alone — only prayer and fasting can address them (Matthew 17:21 KJV).
2. Gives God Legal Right to Act. Prayer does not inform God of your problem. He already knows. Prayer is your invitation for Him to step in.
3. Breaks Curses & Destroys Afflictions. “Is anyone afflicted? Let him pray.” The prescribed weapon against affliction is prayer.
4. Connects You to God’s Unlimited Power. Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) — God does exceedingly and abundantly above all you ask or think. But you must ASK FIRST.
5. Enforces the Will of God on Earth. God’s will is already settled in heaven. Prayer is how we enforce it on earth. (“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”)
6. Generates Power to Deliver Great Destinies. Great destinies require great power; great power requires great prayer. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16, NLT).
7. Unveils Mysteries & Provides Divine Guidance. Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV) — “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” What Google and AI cannot reveal, God can.

KEY LESSON: ENFORCING GOD’S WILL THROUGH PRAYER

God’s will is not automatic. It must be enforced by those who know it.

Israel was prophesied to spend 400 years in Egypt (Genesis 15:13 KJV), but spent 430 years — because no one groaned in prayer to enforce the end time (Exodus 6:5–6 KJV).
Daniel studied the scriptures, saw the 70-year captivity was expiring, and immediately set his face to pray — ensuring his generation did not repeat the 30-year delay of his forefathers (Daniel 9:1–3 KJV).

Daniel 9:3 (KJV) I set my face toward the Lord God to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.

Application: Know the Word and the will of God for your life. When you know it, ENFORCE it. Wage warfare with the prophecy you have received.

HOW TO PRAY EVERY TIME AND GET RESULTS

1. `Pray the Prayer of FAITH. Acknowledge God first, then speak directly to the situation. Jesus did not ask God to raise Lazarus — He acknowledged the Father, then commanded: “Lazarus, come forth!” You can talk to things: your body, your career, your finances, your project.
2. Combine Prayer with FASTING. Fasting empowers prayer by subduing the flesh — the greatest hindrance to effective prayer. Results increase significantly.
3. Be SPECIFIC and IMAGINATIVE. “Lazarus, come forth” — not “dead, rise.” The more specific your prayer, the more effective it is. Have a vivid picture of what you are believing God for. God gives you what you see (Genesis 13:14–15 NKJV).
4. Pray with PASSION. Jesus cried with a loud voice. If it is not important enough for you to press through with passion, why should God treat it with urgency?
5. Pray with PERSISTENCE & CONSISTENCY. “Pray without ceasing.” Prayer must become your lifestyle — not a crisis response. Pray when you leave, when you arrive, when you get news, when you face pressure. Don’t address anything in the flesh.
6. Add a VOW (when appropriate). Hannah added a vow to her existing prayer, and everything changed (1 Samuel 1). If you make a vow, pay it. Only vow if you intend to honour it.
7. Pray in the HOLY SPIRIT (Tongues). Praying in tongues adds power to your prayer and builds you up in the most holy faith (Jude 1:20 NKJV).
8. Pray in line with GOD’S WILL. “If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14 NKJV). Ensure your prayers are rooted in Scripture.
9. Pray with THANKSGIVING. Enter His gates with thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4 NKJV). Every prayer should carry an attitude of gratitude.
10. Pray in AGREEMENT. “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything they shall ask, it shall be done” (Matthew 18:19 KJV). Agreement multiplies the power of prayer.

MEMORABLE PRINCIPLES FROM THE MESSAGE

The devil is not afraid of the Word you listen to. He is afraid of the Word you understand — because once it takes root, he cannot uproot it.
Prayer is not meant to inform God of your situation. He already knows. Prayer is your invitation for Him to act.
Most delays are not the will of God. A whole nation was delayed 30 years because no one rose to pray.
Show me your prayer life and I can tell you where your destiny is going.
You cannot travel further than you are charged. A fully charged destiny requires a fully charged prayer life.
Don’t just be a CEO. Be a CEO with power. Don’t just be a parent. Be a parent with power.
There are some things — companies, legacies, children — that you cannot birth without power. Power comes from prayer.
