Psalms 114: 1-8
I have come to see that the drive for material or possession is innate in man. Everywhere, every day, people are battling for possession. However, what has become more clear to me is that the battle for possession is a battle for the spirits, the battle for acquisition is a battle for Gods. It’s the reason why you will not be naive as to think that it is your certificate that will give you possession. There are things in this life that you will never get unless you have understood the dimensions of battle that happens in the spiritual.
I had a conversation with someone in 2013 and the man revealed a remarkable piece of information that has stayed with me since then. He told me there are two things that commands possession; the God on your side and your knowledge of the God that is on your side. Daniel 11:32b, But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. I hope you know by now that nothing in this world is even ordinary at it appears.
Even the Bible tells us that the world that we see were ‘framed’. Hebrews 11:3. So, nothing just appears; there are places where things are framed from. You would be of all men most miserable if you base your life on only what you see. People that have understood this mystery are the ones that have gotten hold of life. People on earth achieve things because they have a source, a sustainer and a support. So please, don’t step out tomorrow with the thought that life is ordinary, instead, step out with the consciousness that you are in a battle. That thing you are looking for is also being sought after by many.
By God’s design, the same conditions applies to all human. Everyone is entitled to 24 hours a day; no one has his day lesser or more than others. To excel, you need an edge. The battle for possession is the battle of Gods. As children of God, our leverage, our advantage is the God we serve, with Him acting as the source, the giver and the sustainer of everything. This is why when I have bids or proposals to submit, I back it with intense prayer because something must follow what I am carrying. It can’t appear ordinary, it must be distinguished because of the presence it carries. It is the presence that you carry that makes a difference. Please note, men are not distinguished merely by skills even though it would naturally make you stand out; what distinguishes men is the person, the presence and the power of God. You can’t have the person and not have the presence; you can not have the presence and not have the power. These three goes hand-in-hand. As in our text, the idea is for God’s sanctuary, His dwelling place, to first be established always in order to guarantee and attract His dominion. As long as you carry His sanctuary with you, you are guaranteed dominion as it would always chase hinderances away from you. When Balam was hired to curse the children of Israel, despite the sacrifices and the altars raised regarding these, Balaam could not fulfil the evil mandate, Balaam ended up blessing the people he was meant to curse. Numbers 23:8(NIV) – How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the Lord has not denounced? To carry His presence, you cannot iniquity with you. Numbers 23:19-21 – God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. Carry God, carry the name of Jesus with you. If you want to experience dominion, establish yourself as God’s sanctuary so that you can always carry His presence with you.
