You can speak life into your future and you can speak death into your future. The future you will have is largely dependent on what you speak today.
Words shape our lives; therefore, the words from our mouth shape the experiences of our life. Often times, you will see what you say and if you hate what you are seeing you must change what you are saying.
Know that the Kingdom of God is a kingdom of words. The Bible says, “In the beginning….” These are words! This suggests that the most important thing in this kingdom is words. It really matters what you say. 2 Cor 4:13 (TPT)- We have the same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, “First I believed, then I spoke in faith.”
So, you first believe and then you speak. This is what we call the spirit of faith. This was what Joshua and Caleb had that made their perceptions different from the other spies sent to the land of Canaan. How does this works? First, we believe, then we speak. The forces behind ‘speaking’ based on believing the Word of God is the spirit of faith. This is what decides outcomes among children of God.
Your life will have no results without the spirit of faith. First believe and then you speak. This was also how creation happened. You say what you want to see, not what you are seeing until you alter what you can see. This is why the Bible says, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”- Matthew 19:26 (NKJV).
If you will say what you believe, you will see what you believe. You cannot say you have the spirit of faith if you do not believe in the word of God and then you confess this word.
What is confession? This is the bold, confident, and consistent declaration of your expectation.
Charles Capps described the spirit of faith as “The word of God CONCEIVED in the HEART, FORMED by the TONGUE and SPOKEN out of the MOUTH is creative POWER.”
A confession must be bold and consistent, and you do not stop saying it until it manifests. If you want to be healed, speak it. If you want to prosper, speak it. You don’t have a problem with believing, what you have problem with is speaking what you believe and without speaking, that equation is not yet complete. Men and women who have the spirit of faith do exceptional things.
How does the spirit of faith operate?
2 Cor 4:18 (NLT)- So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
We don’t look at trouble. Nothing destroys your faith than what you look at. The first lesson in the school of faith is that concentration leads to magnification. What you concentrate upon gets bigger. It is what you are looking at that is weakening your faith.
There are very few people I know who said they started a serious project and had all the money they needed for execution of the project. You cannot use a normal human sense of perception when engaging the spirit of faith. You can’t keep your gaze on the negative issue or the negative result. You keep you gaze on the Word of God.
You want to see the power of God in your life, you have to keep your gaze on the Word of God that promises what you desire or need to achieve. So, where are you going? What are you saying about what you want? It is as you say!
