Signs and Wonders through Praise and Worship By Pastor Sunday Adebamiro

Sunday 3rd October 2021.

Bible Text: John 11: 33-40

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. “Where have you laid him?” he asked. Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!” But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?” Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

Most people believe that prayer is the only answer to difficult situations. The power of praise is greatly underestimated. There is no situation that is too difficult for praise to handle. We must understand that praise can also solve problems. Praise carries the supernatural power to change an atmosphere completely and open the door to miracles, signs and wonders.

Praise is a weapon. You may be unable to withstand the strength and resources of your enemies but when you praise God, you transfer your battles to God. At some point in history, Egypt was a powerful nation but their Kingdom collapsed when they touched God’s people. Our God doesn’t need automatic bombs to fight.

In the Old Testament, it is evident that Praise won a lot of battles. Jericho was the last city that stood between the Israelites and the Promised Land. Its towering city walls were so wide that chariots rode on top of them. It looked impossible. God told Joshua to have them march around the wall for six days, then on the seventh day on the seventh time around, they were to give a great shout of praise. It didn’t make sense to them, but God was saying, “If you’ll praise me while the wall is still standing, you’ll see things begin to change.” And the walls of Jericho fell down.

If you are going through a hopeless situation, be reminded that you can see the Glory of God if you believe! Lazarus sisters thought that Jesus had showed up late. They were limited by their own believe.

In this season of Signs and Wonders, God will step on the walls standing in your way.
