Secrets of Supernatural Authority 2

Mark 9: 14-29
The world is tired of coming to Christians with needs, only to find out we cannot help them deal with their problems.
Such was the scenario that played out in the text we just read. The world is embarrassed that we profess what we don’t possess. The world is becoming tired of bringing their spiritual problems to title holders in church who don’t carry mantles.
That means we have so many titles that don’t carry mantles and mantles make titles; titles don’t make battles. The world wants to see the power of God in demonstration. The world wants to come to the church. Isaiah 2:2- And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
We are coming to the time when the world will be asking us, “How did you do it”?
God is creating people with unusual authority to actually dominate and influence their sphere of influence. It would be discovered that our secret is that we operate with unusual authority. One of the things I realised looking through my Bible is that people are not looking for church, people are looking for Jesus. And if they can find him anywhere, they will go there. How do you know wherever Jesus is? He solves problems.
Matthew 5: saiah 2:2- When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him…
They loved the work more than the man. May you never fall in love with the ministry God has given you more than the giver of the ministry. Let your passion be about the presence of God rather than the presence that comes from God. What is the value of anything we have or do without the presence of God in it?
Anytime I start to sense that I am losing the presence of God, I leave everything I am doing in order to pursue His presence because the presence of God is why we have TTC. I will never love the church more than the presence of God. Moses said if your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here (Exodus 33:15). The moment will come when you now realise the danger of doing anything without the presence of Jesus. You can’t do life, business or ministry effectively for a long time without Jesus. A day will come when you will realise that doing any or all of these without Jesus will cost you so much.
In the text we read, Jesus asked the father how long the child had been that way, and he told Jesus since he was a child. This suggests that this problem is not physical in origin. So, what childhood issues have you been dealing with?
