Minister: Rev’d Sam Oye
Text: Exodus 23:25-28 (KJV)
Topic: COVENANT SECRETS FOR EXTRAORDINARY KINGDOM SERVICE: THE SECRETS OF REWARDABLE SERVICE.
This text is a covenant. It is like a legal contract that has binding effect on both parties involved. Provided we do our parts as believers, God has covenanted what He will do in response. This text also shows what you are missing when you are not in service to God? Look at all the things that God has promised to do? Anchor your destiny through service to God so that your lifting, your prosperity, the favour you enjoy can be protected.
Who is God and why should I serve Him?
- God made you.
- God endowed you. Whatever makes you feel special or gives you an advantage, it is God who endowed you.
- God protects you.
- God sustains you.
- God loves you.
- God redeemed you.
- God favours you.
- God owns you-The proper response to ownership is service.
The end of all things is service. The reason God planted you on earth is so that you can serve Him. Genesis 2:15 (AMP) – And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And it is to serve God’s purpose. One thing I have found in life is that the greatest and wealthiest people in life are those who choose to serve. The highest title you can be accorded in the sight of God is being called ‘His Servant’. Genesis 26:24 (KJV). You can’t buy it, you can’t apply for it, it has to be given and it is only given on the platform of service. You must be a servant to become a servant. You cannot act like a servant to become one. Many of the patriarchs you admire in the Bible were at one time or the other described as servants of God. Abraham (Numbers 12:8); Joshua (Judges 2:8); Daniel (Daniel 6:20), David (Psalm 78:71); Paul (Romans 1:1); even Jesus (Mark 10:45) etc.
Please note,
- Achievement is not measured by those who serve you, it is measured by who you serve.
- Make quality people have access to your service.
John 12:26 (GW)– Those who serve me must follow me. My servants will be with me wherever I will be. If people serve me, the Father will honor them.
(KJV)– If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Please note, before you give God your service, you give Him your heart first.
