Wonders of Praise II
By Pst Sunday Adebamiro
Joshua 6: 20
In the First Service, we established that God does wonder when praised. If you want to see the wonders of God constantly in your life, live a life of praise.
One of the wonders that God does as we established earlier is a wonder of access. David had no business becoming the king of Israel. His father was not a king, he was not a royalty; however, because he was a worshiper, a man who praises, he accessed the throne. Through this, he got something he was unqualified for.
Praise brought down the strongest wall, the most formidable wall, the thickest wall in the history of mankind. I’m talking about the wall of Jericho. Any time you praise God, your praise attracts God’s presence.
Psalm 22: 3 says, But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
God dwells in the midst of the praises of His people. If you want God to dwell in your life, house, work, career, and family, give Him praises.
Therefore, we can say with confidence that through their praises, the children of Israel brought down God to dwell amidst them. His presence led to the collapse of the wall of Jericho. The wall of Jericho was so strong, so thick that if it falls, it would become another wall dues to its size; yet, the Bible says the wall fell down flat, which means it sank. How do you bring down a great wall like that with shouts? Any time God’s presence is provoked, wonders happen.
This is because God’s presence is very powerful and one of the things that bring it down is praise. I am introducing you today to a weapon; it is not teaching. Psalm 100:4 Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.
One of the wonders of praise is what I call the Wonders of Victory and Wealth. Any victory achieved through praise is always absolute and total. 2 Chronicles 20:24 says, As Judah came up over the rise, looking into the wilderness for the horde of barbarians, they looked on a killing field of dead bodies—not a living soul among them.”
No illness or difficulty can escape the onslaught of praise.
