The Secrets Of Supernatural Rest by Pastor Seun Bolarinwa

Bible Text: 1 Kings 5:1-5

“When Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king to succeed his father David, he sent his envoys to Solomon, because he had always been on friendly terms with David. Solomon sent back this message to Hiram: “You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the Lord his God until the Lord put his enemies under his feet. But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord told my father David, when he said, ‘Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.”

Rest is outright cessation of battles, strive and contention within your space. Nothing can take the place of rest. Nothing can thrive and manifest in an atmosphere of unrest. Rest is having peace and tranquility. Peace is an intangible resource that makes tangible things happen.

Psalm 46:9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

Wars, battles and contention can CEASE.

The enemy attacks one area of your life in order to bring battles to other areas of your life. I have seen a woman whose son has been attacked by the enemy simply because she was wealthy. The enemy’s agenda to drain her finances was manifested through the attack on her son. The enemy hijacked her son and caused him to do things out of control thus, draining the family’s finances.

Psalm 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Do you know that sheep do not drink from scattered waters? Because it indicates the presence of a crocodile or some other reptile. The waters must be still in order for them to have rest.

You cannot be productive in a battle. May your waters be still in the name of Jesus.
