SERIES CONTEXT
This message is a direct continuation of the Thanksgiving Sunday first service teaching on Supernatural Provision Through Divine Direction. The second service opens with Pastor Sunday Adebamiro (Executive Pastor) anchoring the congregation in the scriptural foundation of God’s promised provision, then developing two primary principles on divine instruction. Rev Sam Oye joins to deepen the teaching, share personal testimonies of hearing and obeying God’s voice, and deliver a prophetic word over the congregation.
PART 1 — PASTOR SUNDAY ADEBAMIRO: THE FOUNDATION OF SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY
GOD’S WILL IS YOUR ABUNDANCE — NOT JUST SUFFICIENCY
God’s declared purpose for His children is not survival — it is overflow. The promise is not that your needs will be barely met, but that you will have more than enough to share with others.
|
2 Corinthians 9:8 (New King James Version — NKJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. |
|
2 Corinthians 9:8 (New Living Translation — NLT) And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. |
Three declarations from this scripture:
|
Your days of not enough are over. I welcome you to the era of more than enough. — Pastor Sunday Adebamiro |
God’s supply covers every category of need — financial needs, marital needs, emotional needs, career needs, and ministerial needs. However, this does not happen automatically. There are conditions to meet and processes to follow. One of the primary conditions is obedience to divine instruction.
|
Isaiah 1:19 (New King James Version — NKJV) If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. |
Willingness and obedience are two distinct requirements. Most people possess willingness — they know what they want and desire it deeply. But the condition God watches is not just willingness: it is whether you will also be obedient. Willingness without obedience produces no result. Obedience without willingness cancels itself out.
|
Don’t just pass the test of obedience. Pass the test of willingness. Because the absence of willingness cancels the implementation of obedience. That is why some have been obeying but have not seen results. — Pastor Sunday Adebamiro |
PRINCIPLE 1: INSTRUCTION ALWAYS PRECEDES INTERVENTION
|
Whenever God wants to intervene in a life, a family, an organization, or a nation — the first thing He does is give instruction. Instruction always precedes intervention. |
Peter had done everything right professionally:
And yet, he caught nothing. When a person has done everything they know how to do and still sees no result, what they need is not more effort — they need divine intervention. But God will not intervene without first giving instruction.
Jesus did not simply command the fish to jump into Peter’s boat — though He could have. He gave two instructions first: “Push the boat out from land.” Then: “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets.” Only after the instruction was obeyed did the intervention arrive.
Further scriptural evidence that instruction always precedes intervention:
|
You are just an instruction away from divine intervention. Every time you need a breakthrough, what you should be seeking is an instruction from God — not just more prayer, more fasting. Ask: Lord, what is your instruction? — Pastor Sunday Adebamiro |
PRINCIPLE 2: INSTRUCTION ALWAYS PRECEDES PROVISION
|
Your provision is waiting for you in the place of your obedience. Supply is location-based. |
As Rev Sam taught in the first service from 1 Kings 17:1–9 (NKJV): God had a provision for Elijah at Brook Cherith — and later at Zarephath. The ravens were already commanded. The widow was already instructed to provide. But Elijah had to go to the right place first. The provision was tied entirely to the instruction.
If God cannot talk to you about your boat, He will never talk to you about fish. He first tests whether you will obey His instruction about what you have before He releases what you need.
|
Genesis 26:2–3, 12 (New King James Version — NKJV) Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you.” … Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. |
Isaac obeyed the instruction to stay in Gerar — the land of famine. He did not go to Egypt as planned. In that same land of scarcity, in that same year, he reaped a hundredfold harvest. Every sector becomes lucrative when you are in the place God has instructed. Every business works when you are operating in your divinely assigned field.
|
God will not fund the journey He has not asked you to embark upon. Your breakthrough will be in the business God has instructed you to start. Your provision is waiting for you in the place of your obedience. — Pastor Sunday Adebamiro |
PART 2 — REV SAM OYE: THE OBSTACLE TO OBEYING DIVINE INSTRUCTION
THE PROBLEM: THE MIND STEPS IN BETWEEN THE INSTRUCTION AND THE ACTION
God’s instructions are not failing. The pipeline is open. The problem is that when instruction comes, human memory and reasoning step in between the instruction and the corresponding action. The result: the miracle is blocked not by God’s unwillingness, but by the believer’s logic.
The three objections the mind raises when divine instruction arrives:
|
God does not speak from sense. He speaks to sense. That is why what God says is non-sense — not from any of our five senses. Your degree might actually be the problem between you and the miraculous. You know too much. — Rev Sam Oye |
|
Isaiah 55:8–9 (New King James Version — NKJV) For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. |
WHEN MEN ARE CLOSING, GOD IS OPENING
One of the most powerful declarations of the message: the moment when everything seems to be ending — when the chapter appears closed, when human logic says it is over — is often exactly when God decides to begin.
|
Now that they are closing the chapter, now that you too have decided it is all over — it is now that God is about to start with you. They have thought your chapter is closed. Mark my words: God will amaze them. God will amaze you. When they are closing, that is when God is saying: open. — Rev Sam Oye |
Illustrations from the message:
God’s response to every “what if I don’t have enough to complete it” objection: “Did I ask you to have money for completion? Just step out and start.”
PASTORAL TESTIMONY: OBEYING GOD’S VOICE IN CAREER AND MARRIAGE
TESTIMONY 1 — GEOLOGY VS. MEDICINE: THE IBADAN DECISION
On his knees, preparing to apply for Medicine, Rev Sam heard God say one word: “Geology.” On his knees again, about to apply to the University of Ife as encouraged by a well-connected mentor, he heard: “Ibadan.” He knew nothing about geology at the University of Ibadan. But he obeyed both instructions. He is grateful to God today that he heard and obeyed — both career choices opened paths that would not have been available had he followed his own plan or his mentor’s advice.
TESTIMONY 2 — MARRIAGE: THE LAGOS INSTRUCTION
In Abuja, there were three wealthy, established women who showed interest in Rev Sam at a time when he had no car and limited means. From a human perspective, marrying any of them would have been a practical “shortcut” to stability. God said clearly: “None of them; your wife is in Lagos.”
Not just Lagos — the instruction eventually led to a woman named Mary, from a background that made no worldly sense as a strategic match. She was not from the connected circles Rev Sam had access to. But Pastor Bimbo, who is no longer alive, spoke a prophetic word: “Reverend Sam, that is the woman God has been speaking about. God will use her to bring you to greatness.” Her words have come to pass fully.
|
The voice of God doesn’t make sense because God does not speak from sense — He speaks to sense. Whatever God told you to do: just do it. Because the word that instructs you is the same word that will sustain you. — Rev Sam Oye |
CORRESPONDING ACTION: THE MISSING INGREDIENT
God is not failing to speak. The primary reason miracles are not manifesting is not the absence of divine instruction — it is the absence of corresponding action. Faith without corresponding action is faith that produces nothing.
|
Whatever Jesus said — launch out into the deep and catch — Jesus would have looked like a liar if Peter had not acted. The miracle does not work itself out. It needs your cooperation. |
Three ways corresponding action fails:
|
We are not seeing miracles because we are not doing. Not because God is not speaking — but because we are not taking corresponding action. Faith acts. Faith believes. Faith moves. Faith speaks. — Rev Sam Oye |
PROPHETIC DECLARATION OVER THE CONGREGATION
|
Somebody under the sound of my voice — to the back, to the right, outside, inside — I decree and declare: let the kind of break, the sudden break that changes human lives, locate you now. The kind of door that has never opened before — let that door open for you now. The kind of favour you have never experienced before — let that favour overwhelm you and overtake you. Somebody has not seen surplus before — welcome to the world of surplus. Welcome to the world of overflow. This month, God will be telling you things. Hear his voice. Obey his voice. Watch what happens. God is about to amaze you. God is about to surprise you. They thought your chapter was closed — they should watch and see what God will do. |
YOUR ACTION STEPS THIS WEEK
|
✓ |
Seek your instruction. This week, come before God specifically asking: “Lord, what is your instruction for me right now?” Not just ‘breakthrough’ — ask for the specific instruction that carries your breakthrough. |
|
✓ |
Take corresponding action today. What has God already told you to do that you have delayed, logicalised, or set aside? Identify it and take one step toward it this week. |
|
✓ |
Pass the test of willingness. Examine your obedience: are you obeying reluctantly, or are you willingly and joyfully aligning with God’s instruction? Unwilling obedience cancels the result. |
|
✓ |
Get and read “The Holy Spirit — The Outpouring” by Rev Sam Oye. This is the recommended book for the month. Carry it to work and read it in spare moments. |
|
✓ |
Join Prophetic Prayer Hour (PPH) daily from 5:50 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube @ Rev Sam Oye. This week’s battle cry: FATHER, SHOW ME MERCY AND GIVE ME EVIDENCE. |
|
✓ |
Attend the midweek Teaching and Empowerment Service this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Invite a friend. Holy Communion holds every first and third Thursday. |
|
✓ |
Bring a friend to church next Sunday. Jesus promised: “Whatsoever you ask, it will be done for you” when you bring souls to the kingdom (John 15:16, KJV). |
|
✓ |

CLOSING PRAYER AND BENEDICTION
|
Please develop a close relationship with the Holy Spirit this month. Get the book. Listen to messages on the Holy Spirit. Go to revsamoye.com — messages are available free of charge. You want to hear His voice. The voice of God is your advantage. The voice of God will lead you there. Be sensitive to the word. Be sensitive to His voice. And obey it. This month: Father, show me mercy and give me evidence. |
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest and abide with us now and forevermore. Surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.
You are just one instruction away from your miracle.
