TOPIC:  RESURRECTION SERVICE

Bible Text: Mark 16:1-4

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.

The women were on their way to anoint the body of Jesus with spices at the tomb but their biggest challenge was “who will roll away the stone from the entrance of the tomb”. The Bible says the stone was very large. But unknown to them, the stone had been rolled away. Metaphorically, we may be concerned about certain ‘stones’ that are too large for us to roll away but the resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead rolled away the large stone and nobody including the guard at the tomb could prevent it.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the core of Christianity. It establishes our distinction from other religions. The supremacy of our faith is anchored in the fact that our Saviour died and defied death by rising from it.

Because Jesus died and Resurrected, we do not have to wonder ‘who will roll the stone’ in our lives. Just as the women at Jesus Tomb were amazed at the already rolled stone, our living Saviour is still capable of giving us an EMPTY TOMB MIRACLE.

Matthew 28:2 “And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.

May God give you an undeniable, mind-blowing, uncontestable EMPTY TOMB MIRACLE.
