Topic: FLOURISHING AND THRIVING SUPERNATURALLY THROUGH OBEDIENCE {THE COVENANT BLESSING OF OBEDIENCE}

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.Jesus saith unto them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom.10 And saith unto him, every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

      God always keep the best until your obedience is complete. It will be water in the pot until your obedience is complete. The key to enjoying the overflowing blessing of God is absolute obedience as a lifestyle. In any area you are having challenge, there is an incomplete or absence of obedience in place. Any marriage where conflicts exist, it shows that either of the partner is in complete disobedience to God. Living in total obedience comes with inconveniences, it takes dying to self, ego, pride, reputation, etc.

Children of God are meant to flourish and prosper even in disasters and famine, this can be made possible through total obedience to God. Gods people prosper through instructions, leadings that are led by God, it doesn’t always make sense.

For your level of obedience to increase, you have to:

  1. Know the God you are obeying:the knowledge of God increases your capacity for obedience. when you know who is calling you, it makes it easier for you to hear and obey His voice. Know that God is loving, and He will do you no evil. Know also that God is good and faithful. A good God will not give you instructions that will bring to you bad ends. Know that God is able; able to deliver you, able to bless you, multiply and increase you.  The knowledge of knowing Gods abilities make it easier also for you to obey His voice. Know that God is all sufficient. There is nothing God needs that He cannot supply Himself, so when  God creates an opportunity for giving, He creates an opportunity for you to increase. There is nobody that can add anything to increase God because He is all sufficient and incomparable. God cannot be a perfect God if He can be enhanced by man.
  2. Know the intentions:every divine instruction is designed to better your life, when God is asking you to do something know that He has something better in mind for you. He never gives instructions to reduce you.
  3. Know that the proof of obedience is corresponding action:the proof that you are in obedience is corresponding actions. When obedience is partial, the blessings does not rest on it. The blessings settle on full and total obedience; partial obedience is disobedience.

7 BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE:

  1. Unlimited blessings: Gen 24:1 And Abraham was old, andwell stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.  God blessed Abraham in all things because he had obeyed God in all things. When obedience is total, the blessing is also total.
  2. Unlimited prosperity:Gen 26:13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;Isaac also enjoyed full prosperity by obeying the voice of the Lord completely.
  3. 3. Unexplainable provisions: 1kings 17:15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat manydays.The obedience of the poor widow to Elijah, caused the door of provisions to be opened unto her.
