THE SECRETS FOR ATTRACTING AND MAXIMISING DIVINE CONNECTIONS (Part 1)

Topic: The Secrets for Attracting and Maximising Divine Connections (Part 1)
Text: Mark 1:35-37

“While it was still night, way before dawn, he got up and went out to a secluded spot and prayed. Simon and those with him went looking for him. They found him and said, “Everybody’s looking for you.”
Life is a series of connections. After God, the next most important thing to pray for is the right people in your life. Relationships determine your advantages. The race is not for the mighty or swift. Value your relationships. Skill is good, strength is wonderful and might is amazing but above them all, when it comes to the advantages of life, your relationships determine the outcomes.

Superior connections determine superior advantages. This means that the superiority of your connection determines the quality of the advantage it provides to you. It is not who is qualified that sits on a throne; but who is connected sits on it.

Positions are given by virtue of relationships. When people with the might and right for positions show up, relationships can always undermine them. Relationships will speak for you during the days when might and right will not speak. When relationships are involved, it invalidates justification.
In the case of Solomon becoming the King of Israel, you can gather as much evidence as you can against Bathsheba, but Solomon would still sit on the throne.

As individuals, we should never take relationships for granted because life is not fair. Romans 9: 13 (KJV) “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” What did both Jacob and Esau do to gain the love and hatred of God? They were still in the womb when this was declared. This is God’s prerogative. Esau had the might and right, but he was set aside. The time has come to fall before God and count on his mercies, not just your ability.

The least qualified can evolve to become the most qualified. How did servants get on horses and princes walk on foot? The answer is relationships. May the Lord have mercy on you such that on the day that the back of the donkey or camel is vacant, you may have someone to lift you up and place you on it. When the back of the camel or donkey is vacant; when the office is empty, it is not about those who can climb with might that gets you there, it is about those that can put you there through the connection or the relationship you have.

There must be a butler in the house that mentions your name. If there is no butler to mention your name when it matters, your name will not be considered. In the case of David, it was the servants of King Saul who mentioned his name 1 Samuel 16: 17 – 19. “And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me. Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth-lehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him. Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.”

After God, you need the right people in your life. Every vision from God requires execution by men. Regardless of how and when God shows Himself to you, when it involves what He wants you to do, you need human beings. Also, it is important to note that the people that will assist you to bring to pass the plans of God, unbelievers would be among them. Do not close the door to the king of assistance God has provided for you by thinking God cannot or will not use unbelievers for you.
The person who was the most instrumental in bringing to pass God’s purpose for Jesus was the devil himself. He was the most important factor. Without the devil, Jesus would not have accomplished His purpose on earth. It was never Joseph, John, Judas, the disciples and other people. It was the Devil.
1 Corinthians 2: 8 (MSG) “The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal plan is. If they had, they wouldn’t have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross.”

If the devil had known the plan of God, he would not have crucified Jesus. How could God use Satan to bring to pass His counsel for His son? When Jesus was crucified, it was not mortal men who were crucifying Him. It was Satan. A Yoruba adage says that, “Even a bad man has his good day.”
Who would have thought that it was in the reign of Nebuchadnezzar that Daniel got his position? Without King Pharaoh, there would not be Joseph the Prime Minister. It was under the rule of the Persian king Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) that Esther performed her divine assignment for the nation of Israel. It was during the reign of King Artaxerxes that Nehemiah was instructed to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.
We should not mistake these lessons taught today. We need to broaden the scope of our expectations. The latitude of our minds should be expanded. We should not be tied down to only believers (and church members) to do God’s work. God uses the worst kinds of people to give or do the best!
Seven Things to Remember About Divine Connections

Whenever God wants to change your story and relationship, He will connect you to an introducer (e.g., the butler of the king who introduced Joseph). In the Bible, Joseph never knew the King, he only knew the butler. He treated the butler well. Ensure to always treat men well. At the lowest moments of people, always be nice to them. This is because the tables of life constantly rotate. You never know whose turn it will be tomorrow. The people looking like the most promising might turn out to achieve nothing. This is why we must continuously pray that God turns the table in our favour. May God connect you to a butler (someone who knows someone you do not know) whenever He plans to change your story.
In the scripture, there is always one person between an individual and their destined goal. The cases where this is proven are in the connection between David and Saul, Joseph and the king; Esther and the king. The way God works and does things overrules the way of the world.

Whenever God wants to change your status, He connects you to a lifter. It was one person (the butler) that Joseph met that introduced Joseph to the king. The king used the power of his office and position to change the life of Joseph. Do not be mistaken, in life, there are human beings in offices that can change your status with just a signature on a piece of paper. There are people who can sign you into the next stage of your life. Joseph never went for a position; he only went to interpret dreams. Joseph never was involved in what got him into the palace. Through this, we should always think about how to attract our destiny helpers – that should be our focus.

Psalms 63: 1 (KJV) “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”
How do we attract our destiny helpers? You wake up early and let God hear your voice before joining it with the voice of men. As shown in Psalms 63: 1, once you wake up, do not look for anyone aside from God. Dwell with God for God is also known as the father of spirits. He is the monarch of the universe.
Psalms 37: 4 (NIV) “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Remember this, God will not connect you to men that will help if you are not first connected to Him.
