Topic: COVENANT SECRETS FOR EXTRAORDINARY KINGDOM SERVICE: THE SECRETS OF REWARDABLE SERVICE
Let us recap what we have been talking about that you must not forget about God. They are:
- God made you.
- God endowed you. Whatever makes you feel special or gives you an advantage, it is God who endowed you.
- God protects you.
- God sustains you.
- God loves you.
- God redeemed you.
- God favours you.
- God owns you-The proper response to ownership is service.
You have to be aware that you are alive to serve God because he first served you. The reason for your existence is serving God. God first served you, He served you with His son and He also served you with forgiveness. Everything you have. He gave you. Hebrews 9:14 (AMP) – how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal [Holy] Spirit willingly offered Himself unblemished [that is, without moral or spiritual imperfection as a sacrifice] to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the ever living God.
You either serving God or something else. Matthew 6:24 (AMP) – No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord. Note today that every man worships the source of his wealth.
Service prepares you for greatness. It positions you for greatness. Greatness will always require your CV on service. The platforms of greatness will always place a demand on your track record of service. It is from service that we move to reigning, into greatness. Also, service prospers you in greatness. Service protects you in greatness because who you serve protects your wellbeing in greatness. Who you serve determines who protects you. You cannot serve the King of Kings and you are not protected by the King of Kings. Service also prolongs your life in greatness.
WHY DON’T PEOPLE SERVE?
- Self-consciousness-God will usually send you into something you naturally feel you are unqualified for. Exodus 3:11 (AMP) – But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt”. When God first calls you, you will most likely feel inadequate.
