Wonders of Worship (Praise) by Pastor Sunday Adebamiro

Text: John 11:32-44

32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

There is power in praise, when we praise God things happen. When praises go up, the presence of God is released.

Things to watch out for in these weeks of Worship and Wonders.

1. God will address cases that appear too late to handle.
There is no wrong time to praise; anytime praise shows up, it is the right time. Praise can never come too late. Praise time is miracle time. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead with praise and gratitude to God. Abraham waited on God for a long time, yet he did not stagger in faith or dwell on the deadness of Sarah’s womb, he was steadfast and gave God praise at every opportunity.

If only you will choose to give God glory about your situation, he will move on your behalf. When Paul and Silas were arrested they remained bound, until they began praising God, then their chains were loosened with the foundation of the prison shaken. Your praise will set your generation free. As you engage in praise nothing will be bound around you.

2. God will be reviving dead situations.
What do you do when you are waiting on God for something and it still dies? Job was in a position where he lost all that he has despite his relentlessness in serving God but still Job kept on praising God. Just because a dream of yours died, doesn’t mean you should die with it.

Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Do not sing of death when you are seeing death, rather sing of life even when you are seeing death. One specialization of God is that he brings life out of dead things. For God to bring life into a dead situation, the right atmosphere needs to be created, this means you will have to stop crying because God cannot step in while you are still weeping. He steps in when you are praising him with joy in your heart. Praise time is miracle and turnaround time.

3. God will be visiting and resurrecting buried cases
Lazarus was not only dead but he was buried but yet he was resurrected by the power of God. In the same light as you worship the Almighty, he would visit and resurrect every buried case in your life. Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity meaning when men come to the end of themselves that is when God comes to the beginning of himself.

God always starts when men stop. Men buried Lazarus because it was the highest they could do at that point, but that was the beginning point for God. Whatever has been buried in your life will be resurrected by the power of God. Praise will resurrect whatever has been buried.

4. God will silence every mocker
God is capable of turning your life around for good. He has the ability to silence mockers in your life. In the midst of the back bitters and mockers, Jesus went ahead and thanked God Almighty for the acceptance of his praise.

Declaration: Because of mockers In your life, God will bring you out to every negative situation miraculously, In Jesus’ Name. Everything that has disgraced you publicly, God will cover you up.

This is a season of praise to God notwithstanding the situation you are in right now. As you praise the Lord, all you have lost will be restored In Jesus’ Name (Amen).
