John 12:1-7

Worship is a wonderful thing. It holds a different meaning for every one of us.
It is any act we carry out to glorify God.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says:
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Whatever you do to the glory of God is classified as worship. There’s a thin line between worshipping God and self-glorification. In your act of worship, ensure you are glorifying God and not yourself by simply showing of the skills he gave you.
Worship is also giving God the honour and reference that no man deserves. Praise and worship are not the same. You can praise men but you can only worship God. Worship is not meant for man; that is why any attempt to worship man becomes idol worshipping.

Matthew 4:7-10
7 “Jesus said unto him, it is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
 8 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9”And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
No man on earth is worthy of your worship. The only one deserving our worship is God; therefore, do not give to man what is meant for God. We all have our place, so, never try to take God’s place.
Isaiah 42:8 says:
“I am the LORD, that is my name, and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”

In the text quoted above, Mary dedicated her worship to Jesus alone. Demonstrations for our love and passion for God on what he has done for us is a very significant part of worship. Whenever God does a miracle in your life, learn to worship Jim first before having a celebration. Our worship must be expressed with affection and passion.
Luke 10:27 says: “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.”

Why do we lose our passion only in church? Everybody is emotional about something, but the question is: Is yours God? God Loves a cheerful giver and a cheerful worshipper.
On Jesus’s way to Jericho as recorded in Luke 19: 1-10, He met a rich man called Zacchaeus who displayed an unusual act just to see Him. In the midst of the chaos, Jesus noticed his humility. To that extent, He didn’t care about his sins and shortcomings; He simply went to him and said that He would always abide in the house of Zacchaeus. This happened because of the passion of Zacchaeus towards Jesus.
Nothing catches God’s attention like passionate and affectionate worship. David was a man after God’s heart because he was a passionate worshipper of God.
Mary demonstrated her worship to Jesus by massaging his feet with very expensive oil and also wiped his feet with her hair. She did all of this because she recognized all that Jesus had done for her family. No one could understand her worship because they could not understand her story.
If you decide to look back at all God has done for you, then you would not care about people around you when worshiping him. When you give Him the worship He deserves, never allow the attitude of men to make you change your attitude towards God.
The ingredient of true worship that can provoke wonders is that true worship is sometimes spontaneous. If you understand the protocol of heaven, the protocol of men cannot stop you. To access the presence of God, enter with thanksgiving and praise to him. Spontaneous worship is ignited by the memory of all that God has done. A true worshipper engages in spontaneous praise. God can never resist worship.
True worship is undignified. Jesus identified with the stench of Lazarus so Mary decided to identify with the stench of Jesus by washing His feet and wiping it off with her hair. Anything you cannot lose in the place of worship, you do not deserve. David understood this. He knew how to lay aside his kingship in the presence of the Almighty. Undignified worship will cost you something.
True worship is more of attitude than location. A true worshipper worships God in truth and in spirit regardless of the location. Make worship your attitude. Pay no mind to the comments of people during your worship. Do not allow their comments to stop you from worshipping God in the way He deserves. Worship must continue no matter what any man says or does. Never be apologetic for your demonstration of worship to God.
Give Him that which belongs to him alone. Always give God undignified and unreserved worship!
